Rhyl e-cool Language School provides both long and short term courses which cater for all ages and abilities all year round. This is an abridged version of our terms and conditions.
Booking of Language Courses
To book a language course from this website, you need to fill out a form on the course you are most interested in and click on the 'send' button. We will then contact you using the email you provide on the form so that we can ascertain your exact requirements. You will be sent the full terms and conditions and an application form which you will need to return.
You will also need to send the deposit of 20% of the course fee and any accommodation to Rhyl e-cool 's bank account. The remaining fees must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the client's course start date. The deposit is non-returnable.
Cancellation by the Client
15 to 28 days before the Course Start date Cancellation Fee = 50 % of total price (course and accommodation)
8 to 14 days before the Course Start date Cancellation Fee = 80% of total price (course and accommodation)
Up to 7 days before the Course Start date Cancellation Fee = 100% of total price (course and accommodation)
The cancellation date is the date on which Rhyl e-cool receives the first notice of the cancellation (this may be a phone call). All cancellation notices must also be in writing (letter or e-mail). No refund can be released without the written notice.
You are advised to take out insurance to cover against possible cancellation charges.
Rhyl e-cool has the right to change the details of the services agreed including changes to courses, course locations and dates where circumstances beyond Rhyl e-cool’s control make it necessary. In such an event Rhyl e-cool will provide services that are comparable to the service contract.
Rhyl e-cool is fully entitled to sub-contact with any individual to fulfill the provision of the service contract.
In the case of a group-booking, individual group members can be substituted if agreed by Rhyl e-cool without incurring cancellation fees.
The course price is defined as the all-inclusive price listed in the promotional material or in the price quotation.
The price of the course(s) are those current at the time of booking or those agreed in the written quotation from Rhyl e-cool.
Loss, Damage and Injury
Rhyl e-cool will not be held liable for anything caused by the carelessness, neglect or deliberate behaviour of the student(s) concerned or for any act of or neglect by independent service suppliers (who should have their own public liability insurance). We will not be held liable for any loss or damages caused by circumstances outside of our control.
We reserve the right to withhold services if you fail to pay for any damage committed by yourself. If you are told to leave the course or camp because of unreasonable or unsociable behaviour, no refund will be given. We reserve the right to ask a student to leave a course/camp and end the contract if the studnt does not show reasonable standards of conduct.
The student will be held liable for any loss or damage to property, or injury or death of any person caused by any negligent act, omission or willful misconduct by themselves. The student must show reasonable standards of conduct at all times and must never to do anything which may bring Rhyl e-cool’s name or reputation into question or disrepute or endanger the health or life of any other student or staff member.
Agents and Third Parties
In the case of a group, the group leader will be liable to pay immediately for any damage caused by any members of the group.
Any Agent selling Rhyl e-cool ‘s Services to a third party is a separate legal and financial organisation. Therefore the Agent has no power to make decisions or commitments on behalf of Rhyl e-cool Ltd. Agents do not have a legal or financial partnership or joint venture with Rhyl e-cool Ltd and have no power to create one. This fact must be made clear to all third parties. The agent is therefore not authorised to bind Rhyl e-cool in any way to a third party.
If for any reason the Client wishes to make a complaint about the Services received. This should be to the Rhyl e-cool representative on site at the time when the problem happens. If the problem cannot be resolved immediately, then a written complaint should be sent to the Managing Director or Operations Director.
Written complaints need to be sent by the Client to the Main Office at: 4 Kings Avenue, Rhyl, Denbighshire, LL18 1LT, UK or by email to email@example.com (Managing Director) or firstname.lastname@example.org (Operations Director).
Please note that if the initial complaint is not recorded during the programme it will hinder further proceedings.
Data Protection Statement
Rhyl e-cool Ltd. follows the Data Protection Act 1998 and is committed to follow the eight principles laid out in the Act. Any data supplied by an individual to Rhyl e-cool Ltd. will not be used in a manner, which is contrary to these principles. Data will be held in a secure manner, protected from unauthorised access and use and not be passed to a third party unless the positive assent is first obtained from any individual directly affected or there is a legal requirement to provide the information. Rhyl e-cool Ltd. recognises the rights of an individual and will ensure they are fully complied with.
Rhyl e-cool Ltd. collects information from our users at several different points on our website and application process. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others. Occasionally we have to use your personal information when booking activities, exams or other course related activities but have no control over 3rd party policies and do not accept responsibility for their use of information. The individual(s) concerned will be consulted before information is used unless there is a legal requirement for us to provide it.
Image and Other Rights
During the course and activities, group and individual photographs will be taken. The clients agreement to these terms and conditions grants Rhyl e-cool Ltd a worldwide right to use the clients name, photograph, video or film portrayal, image, likeness, interview, voice or sound of any participant in any media whatsoever for advertising, promotional or other commercial purposes. If an individual wishes to opt out of this clause please notify us and we will provide an exemption form which must be completed by the individual and returned before the course starts.
Code of Conduct
During your course you agree to abide by all the rules and regulations as outlined by any of Rhyl e-cool staff and Host Families. Please report all damages and/or breakages to the relevant person in authority. Where necessary damage and breakages have to be paid for.
Correction/Updating Personal Information
If a user’s personally identifiable information changes (such as your address), or if a user no longer desires our service, we will endeavour to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us. This can usually be done by emailing or writing to Rhyl e-cool Ltd.
This is an abridged version of our terms and conditions. A full copy needs to be read and a signed copy returned, before the course can be confirmed.
